We are looking for an extremely motivated individual to join our accounting team as we continue to scale and grow. This is an exciting time to join a rapidly growing late-stage start-up as we evolve to getting ready to operate as a public company. You will have the opportunity to make a real impact from the ground level of day-to-day accounting operations.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Work closely with the Accounting Manager and Revenue Cycle Management team to apply payments from customers to accounts receivable balances and record claims journal entries.
  • Own all prepaid expense line items and ensure each prepaid is amortized correctly into the P&L and has supporting documentation.
  • Perform full-cycle AP functions, including but not limited to, maintaining and requesting W9s as needed, entering new vendors, processing invoices for approvals and payment, creating bills in the accounting system for all wires, vendor follow-up, issuing 1099s at year end and automating the AP process flow.
  • Perform credit card reconciliations to ensure proper classifications of operating expenses, follow up with card holders and maintain a repository of credit card receipts.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain and reconcile various general ledger accounts to ensure accurate monthly processes.
  • Assist with the monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting requirements.
  • Assist with the annual financial audit process; including audit schedules preparation.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Solid understanding of GAAP
  • Strong excel skills to work with large data sets.
  • Comfortable working with the ambiguity of a fast-paced startup - ability to innovate, and solve problems creatively
  • Organized, detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
  • Team player - willingness to shift gears and work on special projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire to learn, grow, develop, and eventually mentor future team members
  • Have a sense of humor and like to have fun. We work hard, but we laugh a lot too

BONUS POINTS

  • Start-up experience
  • CPA license, or in progress
  • Familiarity with ASC 606
  • NetSuite or other accounting ERP administrator experience
  • Experience with Bill.com and Expensify
