About the Role
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role as an early member of the Strategic Finance team. We are building a team of dynamic problem solvers from diverse backgrounds that will be responsible for efficiently scaling the company. You will execute on a wide range of projects for one of the leaders in the robotics and autonomous space.
About the Work
Business Partnering - you will work closely with company leaders across Operations, Engineering, Product Management and Strategy to develop financial forecasts and key performance indicators, apply business judgment and financial insights to assist with decision-making that aligns capital and resource allocation with the company’s objectives. After developing these financial forecasts, you will monitor and analyze monthly operating results versus expectations and identify risks and opportunities
Data Analytics - you will serve as a valuable thought partner and drive projects in areas spanning from priority-based resource allocation, operational excellence, efficiency and process improvement initiatives. Our strategic finance team is lean, and you will be expected to wear a number of hats along the way and get up-to-speed quickly
Sophisticated financial and operational modeling - you will build models from scratch, improve existing models and roll-up various models into our total company 3-statement model (P&L, BS, CFS). You will use these models to help the company gain critical insights and drive better investment decisions
Help us scale/transition from Series B startup to a more mature company - this entails gathering requirements and implementing tools and systems in addition to refining our financial processes to drive a culture of ownership and accountability
About You
You have a consistent track record of excellence and relevant experience (2-6 years) in Investment Banking, Consulting and/or Business Operations/Corporate finance/operational FP&A at either a high-growth tech startup or a large, well-established company
You have top-tier problem solving and analytical capabilities - you have the ability to dive deep into a wide range of complex topics and deduce accurate findings and provide actionable recommendations
You have elite data analytics skills - you have the ability to extract, clean, prepare, analyze, visualize and present data with thoughtful insights for operational improvement and experience on analytics tools such as SQL, Tableau, Data Studio. Best practices are second-nature, you can handle complexity but simplify when necessary
You have excellent communication (written and verbal) and relationship-building skills - numbers are important, but a business is built on relationships and people. You possess the ability to distill complex analyses and nuanced circumstances with ease, whether in formal presentation settings or a quick email to stakeholders
You possess a growth mindset - you possess intellectual curiosity and the insatiable urge to learn and grow as a person and professional every single day. You won’t always have the answers, but you have the humility and willingness to continuously learn and develop your skillset
You have a bias for action - you will take accountability and ownership, be dedicated and resourceful and drive towards solutions with minimal direct supervision in a fast-paced environment
You have a tremendous work ethic - you are willing to work hard and really commit when the task requires you to do so while balancing speed and efficiency
