Strategic Partnership Associate, Banking
About the Role

We process various types of transactions for our members that require working with our Bank Partners, processor and other third parties. We are looking for a solid Strategic Partnership Associate to play a key role in managing our banking partnerships and help collaboratively execute on key strategic initiatives. In this role, you’ll apply your experience, curiosity, intelligence and great people and communication skills to bring innovative concepts to life, solve complex problems, and help scale our most important partnerships.
This job cannot be performed in the state of Colorado.
In this role, you can expect to
- Elevate, simplify and enrich the execution of our collaborative relationship with our bank partners. Among other things, this includes:
- Build cross functional relationships with Product, Operations, Marketing, Compliance and other major internal stakeholders to deliver on critical projects with our banks partners
- Leverage these relationships to partner and challenge stakeholders to ensure various projects are thoroughly managed and completed timely
- Experience leveraging a data driven, repeatable and scalable process to ensure deliverables are met and reporting is transparent
- Partner and confer with bank partners to support regulatory inquiries and other required requests
- Owning specific aspects of the complex bank partner relationships and contributing to the enhanced health of the overall relationships; examples of this include:
- Drive internal operational consistency for Bank related processes through internal coordination and process improvements
- Own the intake and submissions process for new product concepts that require bank input and approval
- Resolve regulatory and operational issues that are raised by the bank and Chime
To thrive in this role, you have
- 3+ years of experience managing external partners or clients within the financial services or tech industry
- 2+ years of experience creating, building and scaling data driven transparent processes to increase efficiency and deliver on enterprise scale objectives
- Experience operating in a highly regulated environment
- Strong project management / financial services background with exposure to payments, products and banking
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal; confidence in facilitating cross-functional team meetings to achieve results.
- Ability to triage and prioritize multiple project simultaneously with autonomy
- High EQ, with lots of curiosity and exceptional professional judgement
