Internal Audit is seeking a staff auditor who can work with cross-functional teams and the Internal Audit team to execute value-add data analytics. This is a high-visibility opportunity where you can identify key issues and make measurable improvements throughout a dynamic company. 

The successful candidate will be able to provide meaningful contributions through the use of data analytics, apply other relevant technical knowledge, sound business judgment, and partner with key stakeholders. You are expected to analyze data related to our operational audits, investigations, and/or SOX project, perform detailed code reviews (Java, SQL, Python), support internal efficiency initiatives, and be able to effectively communicate results of data analytics via visualizations and written and verbal communication.

You must be an excellent writer who can succinctly communicate complicated technical and operational issues in business terms. Given the range of potential projects and audits, you must be hard working, flexible and eager to learn new concepts, risks, and tools. You are expected to stay abreast of business trends and emerging technologies.

This position reports to the Systems Manager of Internal Audit and is a local or remote position working with a team in the Pacific Time Zone. 

Responsibilities

• Perform data analysis, develop models and dashboards for reporting cross-functionally to our stakeholders

• Identify and help drive opportunities for continuous monitoring and process automation for IA and stakeholders. 

• Support the execution of enterprise risk assessments, operational and financial audits, and investigations as needed under the direction of the Internal Audit managers and senior auditors

• Interpret the significance of audit findings using data analytics tools, conclude on findings and make practical recommendations.

• Manage work requirements and budget to meet assigned initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related IT/engineering field

• 1 to 2+ years of experience working with SQL or Python and relevant professional or academic experience, with a focus on data analytics and reporting.

• Ability to gather, analyze, and evaluate facts and to prepare and present concise, detailed, and clear oral & written reports

• Must be highly organized, able to pick up things quickly, and create processes that scale in a rapidly evolving and growing environment.

• The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. That means flexibility and willingness to jump in and do whatever it takes to be successful.
