Why Divvy?

At Divvy Homes, we're building an on-ramp to homeownership – one that's more flexible, more affordable, and an all-around better fit for today’s American family – and it’s working.

Having raised over $1bn in asset financing, we are looking for a VP of capital markets to continue to build out the capital markets team and function, scale up our capital structure, diversify, develop and manage relationships with our capital partners, ensure sufficient asset acquisition capacity and improve our cost of capital. The most critical step for us in the near term is to establish access to the ABS market in order to refinance our warehouse facilities. Over the medium term we plan to prepare ourselves for a potential IPO, and the VP will play a critical role in designing and implementing a medium- and long-term capital plan for Divvy with that in mind. Lastly, this person will play a critical role in working cross functionally across Divvy — particularly with colleagues in product and engineering, operations and accounting — to ensure coordination of allocation, reporting and facility operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and deepen relationships with our capital partners, both existing and new
  • Work with senior management and FP&A to design and implement a medium- and long-term capital plan for Divvy
  • Grow and develop the capital markets team
  • Ensure sufficient access to capital to support Divvy’s growth
  • Establish Divvy as a regular issuer in the ABS markets
  • Manage our existing warehouse lines, including facility operations and reporting
  • Continue to work to optimize our cost of capital
  • Drive the evolution and diversification of our capital structure, including developing and implementing new partnerships and funding channels
  • Be a thought leader within the finance org and across Divvy, and act as a mentor for team members in the capital markets vertical
  • Collaborate with teams across Divvy — product and engineering, operations, legal and accounting — to ensure coordination of allocation, reporting and facility operations
  • Work with senior management to begin preparation for an IPO

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience across investment banking and operating roles / issuer side experience, ideally in fintech / proptech or other capital intensive growth industries
  • Deep experience with negotiating and managing warehouse funding lines, including facility operations
  • Significant asset-backed securitization deal experience, ideally with first-time issuers
  • Strong existing relationships with banks and investors
  • Experience building out, managing and developing a team
  • Experience working cross functionally, particularly in the context of an early stage growth company
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and execute on ambitious timelines
  • A willingness and ability to be a senior thought leader and mentor both within the finance org and across Divvy

We are a remote friendly company and welcome individuals based in the United States to apply for this role.
