Lead accounting operations and financial reporting for an apparel manufacturing/private label company. Oversee month‑end/year‑end close, AP/AR/GL/payroll, cost and inventory accounting, audits, cash flow and factoring relationships, and develop the accounting team while partnering with production, sourcing, logistics, and executive leadership.
GHJ Search & Staffing is partnering with a growing apparel manufacturing and private label company with approximately $100M in annual revenue that is seeking a Financial Controller to join its leadership team.
This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the CFO and overseeing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory accounting, audit support, and cash flow management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end and year-end close
- Manage AP, AR, GL, payroll, and financial reporting
- Oversee cost accounting, inventory, WIP, and inventory-in-transit
- Manage factoring relationships and A/R financing
- Lead audits and ensure GAAP compliance
- Partner with Production, Sourcing, Logistics, and Executive Leadership
- Manage and develop the accounting team
Ideal Background:
- Prior Controller experience
- Apparel manufacturing, wholesale, private label, or import production experience
- Strong cost accounting and inventory accounting knowledge
- QuickBooks Online expertise
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience in high-volume transaction environments
- Factoring and financing experience is a plus
