What You’ll Do:

CoreWeave is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Global Insurance Manager to lead and manage the company’s global corporate insurance portfolio and programs. This role will be responsible for designing, evaluating, and managing CoreWeave’s insurance portfolio and risk exposure across all business lines and geographies. The ideal candidate will serve as the company’s subject matter expert on insurance matters, advising senior executives and the Board of Directors on key issues impacting CoreWeave’s operational resilience and long-term financial protection.

About the Role:

As the Global Insurance Risk Manager, you will:

  • Insurance Program Oversight: Oversee CoreWeave’s global portfolio of public company corporate insurance programs including general liability, property, cyber, D&O, workers’ compensation, and international coverages. Develop pre-renewal strategies and lead the annual insurance renewal process for CoreWeave globally. 
  • Broker and Carrier Relationship Management: Serve as the primary relationship manager with CoreWeave’s insurance broker, ensuring service quality and alignment with CoreWeave’s strategic goals. Evaluate due diligence on primary, secondary, and excess insurance carriers to ensure financial stability and responsiveness.
  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Evaluate risks to CoreWeave’s extensive global physical asset portfolio (data centers, GPU, hardware, equipment, infrastructure, etc.) and determine risk mitigation strategies (elimination, control, insurance). Lead internal risk identification initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess and prioritize exposures.
  • Executive & Board Engagement: Provide strategic insurance and risk recommendations to CoreWeave’s senior leadership and Board of Directors. Deliver presentations and reporting materials to communicate insurance program status, claims trends, and emerging risk concerns.
  • Corporate Transactions & Strategic Initiatives: Partner with Corporate Development to evaluate insurance implications for acquisitions, divestitures, new ventures, and geographic expansion. Manage integration of newly acquired entities into CoreWeave’s insurance programs and risk management framework.
  • Coverage Optimization: Evaluate and negotiate policy terms, limits, deductibles, and program structure to optimize value and reduce cost. Ensure competitive pricing through market benchmarking and negotiation with brokers and carriers.
  • Claims Management: Lead and coordinate the reporting, negotiation, and settlement of insurance claims across all business lines. Liaise with brokers, carriers, claims adjusters, subcontractors, and external legal counsel as necessary.
  • Compliance & Administration: Manage the issuance and renewal of certificates of insurance and additional insured endorsements. Support ongoing regulatory compliance for all insurance-related matters globally.
  • Internal Collaboration: Serve as the single point of contact for all insurance-related inquiries across the CoreWeave enterprise. Foster strong partnerships across Finance, Legal, HR, Operations, Security, and other departments to ensure aligned insurance and risk management practices.

Who You Are:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in insurance risk management, preferably at a public or multinational company.
  • Proven expertise in structuring and managing global insurance programs and claims resolution.
  • Deep knowledge of commercial insurance lines, risk control strategies, and carrier/broker management.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of risk modeling, policy negotiation, and market dynamics.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; able to engage effectively with C-suite and Board-level stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the insurance implications of data centers, cybersecurity, and hardware-intensive operations.
  • CPCU, ARM, RIMS-CRMP, or other relevant professional certifications are helpful.

The base salary range for this role is $115,000 to $168,000 The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).

Our Workplace

While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets. New hires will be invited to attend onboarding at one of our hubs within their first month. Teams also gather quarterly to support collaboration
