About the role

It’s an exciting time at Hex! We have built a powerful, category-leading product that’s redefining how data analytics is done. Hex users are passionate about our product – we get literal love letters! – and now we’re focused on how we can help tell our story to more and more people. We have an exciting roadmap full of big ideas and little details. We’re hiring a Growth Marketing Lead to help harness that energy, and accelerate our growth.

This role is a critical member of our Marketing function, driving our end-to-end paid and organic customer acquisition programs and setting the strategy across all areas of growth marketing.

This role will also give you a broad, end-to-end view of our business, and you will need to partner closely with Leadership, Sales, Finance, and Data to succeed.

What you will do?

  • Set the strategy across all areas of growth marketing (paid, SEO, martech, lifecycle/email, affiliates, and website optimization). And be hands-on, particularly in paid ads and martech areas, managing ads, channels, budgets.
  • Drive our end-to-end paid and organic customer acquisition programs, including the ads, the channels, and the budget,—everything it takes to hit sign-up and pipeline goals
  • Work closely with the VP of Marketing, head of demand gen, and growth product teams to develop a vision, strategy, and roadmap for our sales-led acquisition strategy, to complement our self-serve/PLG motion.
  • Manage a team of contractors/agencies and eventually, build out a world class team of growth marketers
  • Partner closely with GTM leads, Data, and Finance to define, set, and report on best-in-class KPIs for both PLG and Sales-led growth motions. Work together to improve attribution, forecast and track ROI, and align efforts to successfully win target accounts
  • Develop strong relationships with data, design, and engineering teams to build a culture of rapid experimentation and best-in-class growth marketing data and technology innovation.
  • Be a critical voice of marketing leadership; understanding how to hit revenue goals while staying true to the brand and putting the customer first

Who you might be?

  • 8-10+ years of growth marketing experience, including experience in management.
  • Proven experience at a B2B SaaS startup, ideally with a hybrid self-serve and sales-led growth motions.
  • Proven experience of building growth marketing programs from scrappy pilots to scaled teams and deep skills in SEO/SEM, demand gen and CRO.
  • Expertise with ad platforms (e.g., Google, Linkedin and Meta Ads) and running efficient campaigns with multi-million dollar budgets
  • Comfortable with SQL and tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Clay, Segment/Rudderstack.
  • Have strong quantitative analytical skills and are comfortable working in data analytics platforms and data visualization software to own your numbers
  • Data driven and analytical, but not myopic to incremental A/B test results — can see the forest for the trees.
  • A mindset focused on creativity, thinking outside of the box & experimentation, testing, and scaling successful initiatives rapidly.

In addition to our unique culture, Hex proudly offers a competitive total rewards package, including but not limited to, market-benched salary & equity, comprehensive health benefits, and flexible paid-time-off.

The OTE range for this role is: $160,000 - $200,000.

The range shown may be a reflection of additional factors such as geographical location and skill ranges/levels we’re open to. Placement in the salary range will be decided upon completion of the interview process, taking into account factors like leaving room for growth, internal fairness & parity, your demonstrated skills, and the depth of your experience. Our Recruiting team will be able to provide more details during the interview process.
