DoorDash is seeking an experienced Benefits Manager to lead the strategy, design and administration of a key component of DoorDash’s total rewards offerings. Reporting to the VP of Total Rewards, you will lead all aspects of benefits and ensure that our global benefits offerings are rewarding, competitive, and in line with company goals.

You’re excited about this role because you’ll:

  • Lead the design and development of DoorDash’s benefit programs around the world. You’ll build our global benefits strategy to align with our total rewards philosophy across all types of benefits including health and welfare, disability, life, retirement, wellness programs and employee perks
  • Oversee benchmarking to ensure that DoorDash benefits are competitive against our peer group
  • Build out the core processes to ensure the effective delivery of benefit programs to employees in a way that enhances employee experience and contributes to DoorDash’s culture
  • Ensure that DoorDash benefits programs are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Leverage employee data to inform the design and delivery of global benefit programs and to stay ahead of future workforce needs
  • Keep internal stakeholders informed on industry trends and provide recommendations on how the benefits strategy can evolve to respond to a changing landscape while optimizing cost contraints
  • Lead employee education efforts to enhance the perceived value of benefits delivered to employees and partner with other key stakeholders in the People function to change employee perception of compensation and benefits to thinking about these elements as Total Rewards
  • Evaluate current and future benefits vendors to ensure that they are the right partner for DoorDash’s needs

  • You have experience in designing, building and scaling benefit programs on a global scale in a rapidly changing in environment
  • You are a subject matter expert in every element of benefits administration and compliance and can effectively communicate that expertise to key stakeholders
  • You understand fast growing technology businesses and will use that experience to build out effective benefit programs for employees
  • You have experience presenting to and persuading senior leaders on benefits related topics
  • Experience in HRIS systems and understanding how to leverage these systems to effectively administer benefit programs
  • You are an effective communicator and have experience in educating employees on the value of their benefits and how employees can make the most of them
  • You are a proven leader with experience managing teams of benefits professionals as well as cross functional workflows
  • You have a bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of experience in the design and administration of benefit programs
