Coinbase has built the world's leading compliant cryptocurrency platform serving over 73 million accounts in more than 100 countries. With multiple successful products, and our vocal advocacy for blockchain technology, we have played a major part in mainstream awareness and adoption of cryptocurrency. We are proud to offer an entire suite of products that are helping build the cryptoeconomy and increase economic freedom around the world.

There are a few things we look for across all hires we make at Coinbase, regardless of role or team. First, we look for signals that a candidate will thrive in a culture like ours, where we default to trust, embrace feedback, disrupt ourselves, and expect sustained high performance because we play as a championship team. Second, we expect all employees to commit to our mission-focused approach to our work. Finally, we seek people with the desire and capacity to build and share expertise in the frontier technologies of crypto and blockchain, in whatever way is most relevant to their role.

This role will work with leadership in the benefits group to effectively administer the benefit plans in the Americas. You’ll have the opportunity to interact with employees, help educate them, and also build where we are going with our benefits. This ideal candidate will help us continue to evolve not only what we offer to employees, but how we make that happen. If you’re someone who isn’t afraid to get dirty and who regularly goes the extra mile, we would love to speak with you!

  • Complete Workday benefits transactions (i.e. QLE’s, finalizing OE windows, EOI’s etc)
  • Participate in reviews for benefit carriers
  • Other tasks as assigned

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • Workday Benefits experience is a must.
  • 5  years of experience in benefits, 401(k), and leave administration.
  • Solid understanding of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, HSA rules and other benefit and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient with Macs, Google Suite,  and Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
  • Deeply detailed and process oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with managing vendor relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • A work hard, play hard mindset

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in a startup culture - comfort with ambiguity and non-stop problem solving, building, and action.
  • Experience in benefits administration outside of the U.S - Canada and Brazil.
