The Impact You’ll Make

As a Business Recruiter, you will partner closely with the team to provide your expertise and thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution. You should be thoughtful, resourceful, strategic and also willing to roll up your sleeves. We strive to give every employee and candidate a genuine, transparent and neighborly experience while building a strong community.

You will be a critical partner in building teams and to the overall success of Nextdoor. You should be excited to bring your experience and expertise every day in order to:  

  • Full-cycle recruitment for a range of non-technical positions, including - with an emphasis on Sales and Marketing
  • Work closely and cross-functionally with hiring managers to: assess recruiting needs, understand job requirements, and develop job descriptions for each position; and tailor/refine recruitment process as-needed
  • Build pipelines of qualified, high-caliber candidates using creative and effective sourcing strategies
  • Source, screen and evaluate candidates’ backgrounds, qualifications, and general culture fit for Nextdoor
  • Track candidates through Greenhouse ATS for reporting and metrics
  • Engage, contact, and manage candidate experience throughout recruitment process, through close and pre-start
  • Close: effectively, creatively and competitively
  • Effectively communicate the Nextdoor mission, culture and roadmap to a broad range of candidates, prospects and industry professionals

What You’ll Bring to The House

  • 3+ years experience full-cycle recruitment for a technology company
  • Proven track record of hiring exceptional candidates across multiple disciplines
  • Passion for the Nextdoor mission and purpose
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication: written, oral, in-person and on the phone
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
  • BA/BS degree
  • Bonus points for previous experience with sales recruiting
