Contract Technical Recruiter
We’re looking for a senior recruiter who’s specialized in technical hiring to help us continue to build out our Software Engineering organization.

For a 6 month contract, we’re looking for a Technical Recruiter to help us scale our Engineering team. Our ideal hire has successfully recruited software engineers at growing technology companies and is eager to take on their next challenge building the next phase of Gusto’s design organization. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who can be a strong partner to our Engineering team leads, consulting with them around talent acquisition strategies & hiring process, and executing against the team’s hiring goals.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
- Build trusted and long-term relationships with hiring managers and key stakeholders and coach them on hiring best practices
- Manage full cycle recruitment process from sourcing to onsite interviews, offers and closing candidates
- Source qualified candidates, review resumes, and pre-screen candidates while moving the interview process forward in a timely manner
- Effectively communicate Gusto’s mission and culture, and help candidates understand impact and value to the engineering culture
- Proactively contribute to improving Recruiting at Gusto by challenging the status quo and providing useful suggestions for improvement
Here’s what we're looking for:
- 5-10 years of experience with full-cycle recruiting in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- 2+ years of experience recruiting for technical teams teams specifically
- Passionate about building a great candidate experience
- Professional and versatile when sourcing, assessing, pitching and closing a candidate
- Exceptional project management skills, independent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to collaborate with others and to work in a fast-paced environment
