Position: Director, People & Culture Technology Platforms

 

Location: San Jose, CA (Headquarters)

Overview
The Technology Platforms team designs & delivers innovative solutions that enable Zscaler's ambitious agenda to create an exemplary employee experience and yield insights at scale. This hands-on role will oversee a strategic set of responsibilities across platform governance, architecture and execution of critical human capital processes.
Position Purpose & Responsibilities
Play a hands-on leadership role in planning and executing the strategic direction of our core People & Culture technology platform:

  • Actively shape the employee experience transformation roadmap by identifying key technology enablers; including support of Service Delivery Model, Single Source of Truth, and Employee Experience
  • Understand and apply external industry trends, particularly around emerging technologies and operating models
  • Partner with stakeholders across People and Culture and other corporate functions to gain insight into roadmap and business initiatives that will impact technology portfolio direction and capabilities
  • Provide primary oversight of software and professional services providers, including SuccessFactors, Smart Recruiters, Qualtrics and other key systems
  • Partner with IT leaders to shape the Technology Platform team structure, service standards and client/partner interaction models

Lead Design and Execution Of Core HCM Functional Architecture

  • Oversee business process design across core human capital verticals (Employee Lifecycle Events, People Operations, Talent Planning, Total Rewards, Absence Management)
  • Establish and maintain control environment, ensuring compliance with standards and principles around logical access and data privacy
  • Enhance platform governance to ensure optimal prioritization of team resources and to manage stakeholder expectations
  • Partner with core IT teams on design and build of integrations to other key business intelligence systems

Core Operational Activities

  • Manage efficient allocation of resources across team and staff augmentation partners
  • Oversee management of inquiries, setting and executing against appropriate service levels and identifying opportunities for process improvement
  • Deliver on vendor oversight accountabilities, consistent with firmwide risk frameworks

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
  • 12+ years of experience, with 3-5 years of relevant leadership experience within consulting or forward-thinking HR organization is required
  • Proven transformational experience implementing solutions across people, process and technology for a large, complex organization
  • Deep expertise in HR Technology, including SAP/SuccessFactors
