Patreon strives to provide creators with insight, education, and tools that make it possible to retain creative control while running their creative business, so creators can focus on creating and energizing their fanbases.

Our user base has doubled in the last year alone, and we have paid over $1 billion directly to creators on our platform. In order to support this level of growth, Patreon is looking for a Director of Talent Acquisition.

What you will do 

  • Drive Talent Acquisition strategy for expanding locations, shifting away from Recruiting only.
  • Have the acumen and executive presence to become a true business partner across the company.
  • Ability to challenge the team/organization while holding them accountable for their commitments.
  • Strong leadership/people management skills with a style that inspires confidence.

Skills and experience you possess 

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Human Resources including at least 8 years focused on talent acquisition.
  • Demonstrated success working in a high growth, competitive market for technical and creative talent.
  • Strong business and financial acumen linked to strategic insight and vision.
  • Deep focus on operations, systems, performance metrics and data analytics.
  • An understanding of the business and the ability to anticipate the impact of talent on the future success of a company.
  • International recruiting and management experience, a plus.
  • Management of talent branding strategy.
  • Drive and own internal hiring and interview education for managers and leaders.
  • Lead recruiting teams globally, including mentoring and coaching junior talent.

  • Experience working with Europe and Asia on hiring and special projects
  • Expert sourcing techniques
  • Creating a talent branding strategy from scratch
  • Co-leading internal training and educational programs
  • Co-leading workforce planning 
  • Experience working at both a start up and larger corporation
