Who are we looking for?

At Moveworks, we believe people are the value drivers of the organization. As such, we are looking for an experienced Director of Talent to lead our recruiting organization to deliver thoughtful, empathetic and intelligent programs that ensure incredible employee engagement and experiences.  As Director of Talent you will be a trusted advisor to the leadership team and consulting partner to the organization. You will be empowered to lead the growth strategy for the organization as Moveworks enters the global marketplace. 

The Director of Talent will define, drive and deliver the recruiting strategy to hire some of the most sought after engineering and leadership talent at Moveworks.

You will partner with the leadership team at Moveworks to hire, mentor, develop, coach and lead a team of Recruiters delivering best-in-class hiring solutions in fast-paced, lean environments. The ideal candidate is a proven leader that has experience in building and leading a highly visible and engaged recruitment team.

You will develop innovative sourcing and talent attraction strategies and programs aimed at ensuring that Moveworks is always selecting from the very best talent available. You will be integral to building and scaling the talent at Moveworks across all disciplines, and actively drive the recruitment for the next layer of the leadership team at Moveworks.  You will refine existing organizational practices, processes and systems and continue to uphold an excellent recruiting experience for candidates. 

This role is based at our Mountain View HQ office (based remotely until SIP is lifted) and will report into our Head of People & Talent, with a dotted line to our CEO and Co-Founder. 

What will you do?

  • Lead, develop, coach and manage an existing and talented recruiting team to the next stage of excellence through your leadership
  • Drive the organizational growth of an R&D team by identifying and hiring Manager and Director level functions across the company
  • Lead the recruitment strategy for global and geographically diverse teams in India and Canada
  • Have functional accountability for the hiring operation
  • Take a data driven approach and use analysis to influence decisions and strategy
  • Provide a high level of visibility and transparency into the recruiting function
  • Deliver employer value and brand propositions for the organization and bring it to life with candidates
  • Excel in a fast paced environment where ambiguity and change are seen as exciting opportunities
  • Think strategically about opportunities and challenges, and bring the capability to deliver tactically when required.

What do you bring to the table?

You have

  • Been instrumental in the high growth phase of pre-IPO startups
  • 10+ years experience working in Recruiting organizations
  • 5+ years people management experience in Recruiting organizations, with a strong working understanding of pipeline creation, talent engagement and a proven track record of execution
  • Lead and execute recruitment strategies and practices for remote new offices
  • A proven track record of closing senior manager and director-level roles, ideally in a SaaS company with global customers
  • A proven track record of building recruiting productivity metrics to drive transparency,  effectiveness, and collaboration across the recruiting team and the hiring managers
  • A track record of effective cross functional collaboration across disciplines
  • Fluency in diversity equity and inclusion concepts, programs and initiatives, and experience in their application to build programmes that attracting and hire diverse talent
  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly fast-paced organization that requires you to flex between strategic, operational, and tactical levels
  • Strong executive presence, combined with exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • You have the ability to build positive relationships easily and with authenticity with people and partners with varied backgrounds and perspectives
  • Excellent project management capabilities, you are able to lead multiple, sophisticated workstreams and prioritize projects concurrently

Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Moveworks Headquarters is adjacent to downtown retail, dining, and shopping with easy direct access to major freeways. Our building is surrounded by large, mature trees and plenty of free parking. We enjoy a high walk score with ample bike and running paths.
