Webflow is a visual web development platform that empowers non-coders to create incredible experiences for the web.

We’re looking for a Director of Team Engagement to help us develop, engage, and retain our distributed team. This is a new role that will lead our internal community and engagement functions including Workplace (both in office and remote workplaces), Internal Communications, and Internal Events. This role is also the People Team’s internal communications and brand leader that collaborates across the People function from employer brand to learning and development programs.

As the Director of Team Engagement, you’ll …

  • Define the strategy and programs that will support Webflow’s internal engagement goals across our distributed team.
  • Hire and manage a team responsible for a wide variety of operational areas that enable a great working experience for our company from our physical workplace to how we communicate internally to large scale events that bring our distributed team together to ensure a seamless experience for all team members
  • Develop a vision for what the hybrid distributed team experience will be at Webflow as it scales from 200 to many multiples of that over time
  • Design the internal and external employer brand that brings our core behaviors to life, educates prospective employees on what it means to be a Webflower, and reinforces that messaging across the employee lifecycle.
  • Ensure that internal events from small scale to large align back to our dual missions and core behaviors.
  • Lead the way to enable all internal communication channels and internal information sources so that team members can access the right information at the right time
  • Serve as an internal communications advisor to the executive team, and partner cross-functionally with a variety of internal team members on the people team and beyond as it relates to communications, events, and remote/in office work.

That said, these responsibilities are just the start! At Webflow, we encourage you to contribute wherever your interests take you — and shape your role accordingly.

And this isn’t just a philosophical bent: we actually give you 4 hours a week (10% of the work week) to pursue passion projects outside of your role responsibilities.

About you

You’ll thrive as Director of Team Experience if you:

  • Consider yourself a curious generalist who enjoys navigating nuanced problems and designing thoughtful solutions.
  • Aren’t just knowledgeable about diversity, equity, and inclusion but are a thoughtful and active leader-advocate who understands how inclusive communication, event, and workplace design matters.
  • Are an experienced people manager who maintains a servant leadership mentality.
  • Believe in the power of distributed teams, and have experience designing programs for the complexity that comes with a global team.
  • Are a thoughtful, direct, and kind communicator, both verbal and written.
  • Have proven experience project managing major cross-functional initiatives with leaders at all levels from start to finish.
  • Have experience with a variety of startup communication tools (Slack, Zoom, Dropbox, Google, etc); bonus points if you are well-versed in Webflow.

If you don’t meet 100% of the above qualifications, you should still seriously consider applying. Studies show that meeting just 50% of a role’s requirements puts you in the running.
