As Brex’s first Head of Human Resource Information Systems, you will own the systems and technologies that drive our company’s growing HR operations. This starts with our HRIS (Workday) and spans across the numerous internal and external tools that power our key processes, such as onboarding, rewards, benefits, performance management, and reporting. Leading the ecosystem from end to end - starting with design and ending with support and maintenance.

Your Role at Brex

  • Process and Technology Consulting. You’ll be working with business partners to determine what’s needed and help design and implement the corresponding technology solutions.
  • Workday Systems Management. Lead our Workday instance, including configuration updates, integration builds, and upgrade management. Partner with our IT team to ensure alignment with all corporate technology.
  • Data Architecture. Partner with Brex’s People Analytics team to create robust data, reporting, and insights. Build reports as needed inside Workday for efficient self-service.
  • People Technology Expert. Be the voice of technology and innovation in the HR space.
  • Technology Operations Management. Build an efficient process to manage and communicate your roadmap.

What You’ll Bring

  • Demonstrate our Brex values of Dream Big, Seek Truth, Be a Fixer, Owner’s Mentality and Customer Focus
  • 3+ years experience in Workday HCM implementation/configuration support, including direct experience with Compensation, Payroll and Time Tracking.
  • Passionate about, technology and change
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Exceptional time management skills in handling multiple priorities and meet challenging deadlines
  • Able to build trust and rapport quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to act with discretion, and have exceptional integrity and judgment in handling confidential information

Brex is located in the East Cut, in between SOMA and FiDi a block from Salesforce Park and the Transbay Transit Center.
