Discord is looking for someone to direct our efforts in Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) and partner across the organization to help us grow with an I&D mindset, focusing on programs that bring more diversity in our teams and a culture of inclusion.   • Evolve and implement Discord’s I&D strategy to foster the kind of inclusive workplace that attracts and retains qualified candidates
  • Partner with our leadership team, and People & Talent to lead strategies for inclusion, retention, and recruiting
  • Design a metrics-based approach and processes to help create insights and ensure effectiveness of our I&D efforts
  • Partner with hiring teams to ensure that our recruiters, hiring managers, and interviewers are best equipped to find and evaluate diverse talent and set them up for success in the hiring process
  • Research and benchmark excellent industry practices to improve diversity and inclusion within the company, using data-driven practices
  • Identify and act as the liaison with diversity partners, ERGs, organizations, and events aligned with our I&D strategy
  • Provide leadership and support to empower and strengthen our internal communities.
  • In partnership with the People & Talent team, design development programs to equip the leadership team with the tools to promote I&D practices throughout the organization
  • Represent us externally both as a spokesperson and by connecting with organizations and partners to build our pipeline and capabilities
  • Be a thought-partner with the People Team and Functional Leaders to design performance standards that ensure opportunities for success, development, and advancement for all employees
What you should have
  • 10+ years of Inclusion & Diversity experience in roles of progressively increasing scope and in matrixed, high-growth organizations
  • Experience with industry benchmarks, leading practices and innovations in D&I, and the strengths and drawbacks of what has been tried to date
  • Team-oriented agreement builder who understands how to achieve support from diverse constituencies, building bridges and designing “win-win” solutions across our organization
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of the concepts related to diversity, belonging, inclusion, and the contexts and cultures within organizations that improve the implementation and management of change efforts
