Health Plan Benefits Operations Manager

The Plan Launch team is responsible for implementing Collective Health clients’ healthcare plans, creating an exceptional experience as new clients transition onto the Collective Health platform. As the Plan Launch team and Collective Health continue to grow, Plan Launch is shaping client plan design and developing new processes to support these functions at scale. As part of the Member Services team within Customer Experience, the Plan Operations team owns specialized processes that require close collaboration with Finance, Legal, Product, and other internal teams. 

What you’ll do:

  • Take a leadership role in shaping, growing, and scaling our Plan Launch team and the Collective Health client plan design experience
  • Manage projects for Collective Health clients, leveraging your experience as a benefits expert and working with our Analytics team to make recommendations on plan design
  • Lead the implementation of clients onto the Collective Health platform, including: 
    • Building trusted relationships with Collective Health clients through strategic guidance and service excellence as they experience Collective Health’s innovative platform for the first time
  • Manage the renewing of clients year over year with Collective Health, including:
    • Driving internal and external coordination efforts to resolve complex plan design questions and issues, creating improvements year over year
    • Creating recommendations for new plan design adoption for clients, based off of utilization-driven plan design insights and recommendations
    • Coordinating the release of key member and client facing materials (SBCs, SPDs, Open Enrollment materials, Member Portals, etc)
  • Mentor and develop a team of Senior Associates and Associates on client communication and utilization-driven plan design insights and recommendations
  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of client and member deliverables
  • Partner with internal and external teams throughout the sales process and implementation to deliver an exceptional client experience through innovative solutions
  • Own and scale several key areas in Plan Launch — data gathering workflows, feedback management, plan design and analytics inquiries, and more
  • Collaborate cross-functionally within Collective Health with Member Services, Product, Development, Legal, Clinical, Copy, and Client Success teams to delight our customers

About you:

  • 7+ years’ experience in health benefits, ideally gained in a benefit consulting / brokerage firm
  • You speak and write clearly, concisely, and with the needs of the audience in mind
  • Excellent Microsoft Offices or Google Suites skills, particularly in Excel / gSheets and PowerPoint / Slides
  • You are self-motivated, intellectually curious, and take ownership for everything you do
  • You pay extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to partner and lead teams to deliver project objectives
  • You think critically and are willing to question the status quo in a constructive and thoughtful manner
  • You thrive on change and are enthusiastic about being along for the ride and learning from our experiences together
  • You possess a passion for Collective Health’s mission to transform the health insurance experience for employers and their employees
  • Bachelor’s degree required
