Position Summary

We’re looking for an HR Operations Manager to join our Global Talent team! The ideal candidate thrives in the startup environment, is very hands on, naturally curious and highly collaborative. This is a great opportunity to help us build out the Talent Management function from the ground up at a dynamic, global company. This position will be located in theSF Bay Area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Director, Talent Management, the HR Operations Manager will:
  • Take ownership of our HRIS - SaplingHR and be responsible for ensuring data integrity.
  • Be responsible for onboarding and off-boarding employees in North America and EMEA.
  • Ensure legal compliance with all applicable U.S. federal, state and local employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required.
  • Partner with our external consultants on ensuring compliance with employment laws and practices in EMEA, Canada, Brazil and other countries as applicable.
  • Create, implement, and own the ongoing maintenance/updates of HR systems, policies and procedures. 
  • Own the U.S. benefits program and partner with the Director, Talent Management on reviewing, maintaining and upgrading global benefits as needed.
  • Oversee immigration cases in partnership with the immigration attorneys.
  • Ensure compliance Sexual Harassment training requirements in North America and EMEA.
  • Provide overall HR Operations and HR Program support to the team and organization including: employment verifications, managing access to HR systems, reviewing and updating internal policies, and staying abreast of global employment law changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functionally to develop workflow improvements and document new procedures.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably in business or HR) with at least five years of HR Operations experience. PHR or SHRM-CP a plus.
  • Knowledge of U.S HR compliance regulations, federal, state and local employment laws, and industry best practices is required.
  • Experience with non-U.S. employment laws is required.
  • Experience managing benefits, open enrollment and qualifying life events.
  • Experience managing an HRIS system such as BambooHR or Sapling is required.
  • Highly organized, and able to manage multiple, and sometimes conflicting, priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail is required Excellent interpersonal skills with a desire to work in a collaborative environment. 
  • Proven ability to work with highly confidential data with a high-level of professionalism.
  • Are excited to work in a startup environment; you have a track record of being adaptable to changing priorities in a fluid, high-growth environment.
