The Role
We are seeking a candidate who is customer-focused, self-motivated and possesses an innate ability to establish strong working relationships at all levels within the organization. The successful candidate must have a high level of learning agility in a fast-paced, tech savvy company (quickly learn, apply, then master), strong project management, superb excel and data management skill sets, customer service driven, problem solving, and a positive attitude.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison for teams (Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Payroll, Office Management and IT) within the North America and India markets.
- Calculate, input, and audit payroll and timekeeping information in order to document and assure the accuracy of employee payroll processed semi-monthly for all US/Canada employees.
- Input data into Sequoia One & ADP regarding payroll, (bonuses, new hire pays, spot bonus, special pays, commission payouts and severance) and personnel information to maintain accurate and up-to-date records. Maintain employee data in Sequoia One, internal systems and files.
- Troubleshoot problems with paychecks, tax deductions, timesheet issues, and other payroll-related matters and respond accordingly to inquiries.
- Provide courteous customer service by responding to timekeeping inquiries, making changes to employee information, resolving discrepancies and/or clarifying procedures for employees, supervisors, managers, and others.
- Assist and process the employees’ life cycle with onboarding, off-boarding, leave management, talent management, benefits management, performance management and other employee changes.
- Maintaining and updating, if necessary, related HR policies, procedures and audits.
- Assist with department projects and other duties may be assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity.
- High self-initiative, roll up your sleeves results-oriented mindset.
- Very organized with impeccable attention to detail.
- Must have knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques used within a HR/Payroll department.
- Skilled in the operation of a MAC/PC, and proficient use of Google applications, and MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; an ability to objectively analyze current practices, identify process improvement opportunities and successfully influence and implement appropriate changes.
- The ability to serve multiple customers and manage a wide variety of tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Knowledge of Federal, California, multi state labor laws and the ability to apply those legal requirements to complex situations in the workplace.
- Project management experience a plus.
Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
