Immigration and Global Mobility Specialist
OVERVIEW
We are looking for an Immigration and Global Mobility Specialist to join our growing team! You'll work closely with our internal teams, external partners, and candidates on aspects of the immigration process and questions.
ABOUT THE JOB
- Act as the primary point of contact for candidates, employees, recruiters, managers, and HR Business Partners on all aspects of U.S. and Canada immigration, including visas, work permits, and permanent residency.
- Partner closely with external immigration counsels to initiate, track, and review immigration cases, ensuring high service level standards.
- Manage global mobility trackers, employee immigration files, public access files, required postings, HRIS data, and I-9 reverifications.
- Work closely with internal partners including Recruiting, HR Operations, HR Programs, Payroll and Legal on cross-functional processes.
- Conduct risk and impact assessments to changes in immigration processing and regulations.
- Draft and maintain internal global mobility process guides and resources, and make strategic recommendations for program improvements.
- Run regular global mobility audits to ensure compliance and data integrity.
- Assist the People Programs team with various projects and initiatives as needed.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of experience in a U.S. business immigration role
- Subject matter expertise in U.S. visa types, processes, and immigration laws
- Ability to articulate complex/nuanced immigration issues to various stakeholders
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills with ability to handle sensitive matters with compassion and urgency
- Meticulous attention to detail, self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful
- Proficient in MacOS, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office
