Job Description

Wish has an opening for a Junior Payroll Analyst to join our growing team at our office in San Francisco, California. The Junior Payroll Analyst will assist with the timely processing of U.S. and International payrolls for Wish. The position will perform a variety of payroll accounting functions in preparation, distribution and reporting of payroll while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. They will act as a contact for all employee and manager inquiries and offer solutions in a timely manner. This role works as a member of the Accounting team, and collaborates closely with HR and a wider finance team. This role may be called on to perform ad‐hoc projects on demand.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with Human Resources in the administration of payroll
  • Assist Senior Payroll Analyst in preparation and processing of payroll
  • Assist with new hire processing
  • Maintain confidentiality with employee pay and personnel files
  • Enter all payroll-related modifications including wage and tax adjustments and other benefits, 401(k) deductions, garnishments, retroactive pay calculations, etc
  • Assist with audit and process all electronic timecards for non-exempt employees in ADP Time & Attendance to ensure accuracy and completion
  • Liaison to ADP for clarification and assistance
  • Provides employee assistance with timecard issues and training in ADP Time & Attendance module
  • Call states directly regarding agency notices
  • Keeping track of certain processes and assist in creating documentation as needed
  • Assist in streamlining policies and procedures
  • Assist in audits verifying data accuracy between different systems
  • ADP Time and Attendance knowledge 
  • Support year-end payroll processing/reporting (W-2’s).
  • Format payroll upload files
  • Create reports using ADP iReports and ADP Reporting
  • Provide customer service to employees on payroll related inquiries in a timely manner
  • Following up with employee requests
  • Assist on various ad hoc projects, including communications and follow up with employees
  • Assist with other special projects, as needed

Qualifications

Who you are:

  • 2-3 years of payroll experience
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now
  • Experience on complex payroll related issues including tax withholding, employee mobility, federal, state and local statutory requirements, and non-exempt employee pay
  • Knowledge of MS Office, including Excel with the experience creating pivot tables, VLOOKUP and capable of handling volume of data
  • Analytical and problem-solving experience
  • Experience in root cause analysis and improving processes
  • Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and organizational skills
  • Must have the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • A collaborative work style, while being equally able to operate independently
  • The ability to take direction and function as a team player
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong, clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage a challenging, fast-paced environment
  • BONUS: CPP certification preferred
