The Role:
You are comfortable with a high volume workload and aren't afraid to "roll up your sleeves". You thrive in a highly dynamic, high growth, fast-paced environment and are capable of delivering results on a short timeline. You are comfortable with implementing and delivering HR programs and initiatives. You want to be part of a team that deeply cares for one another and works together.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with company policy and local employment law.
- Develop strong relationships with functional business leaders and stakeholders. You will apply them to develop and lead an effective people strategy, while providing advice and guidance regarding employee relations matters, policy development, and operational processes.
- Plays a key role in Learning and Development initiatives across the business.
- Will develop and help facilitate management development content and educational experiences.
- Will assess career enrichment opportunities and programs to support colleagues who demonstrate both desire and aptitude for career progression and skill enhancement.
- Will work with departmental leadership to help drive various learning and career progression opportunities and programs.
- Assists in recruitment efforts; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors and partners on building career trajectory programs.
- Will evaluate and improve upon the current orientation process.
- Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
- Recommends new approaches to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the department and service performed.
- Acts as a business partner for people managers to support them in effectively managing their teams and managing performance.
Qualifications
- 5 - 7 years experience in an HR generalist capacity - Solid understanding for all of the disciplines within HR: Employee Relations, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, HR Systems, HR Operations, Employee Engagement, and Organizational Development.
- Excellent management skills and an honest desire to coach and mentor others.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Ability to influence managers/leaders with data-driven recommendations to improve performance, retention, and employee experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills necessary to explain complex and/or confidential information and communicate with all levels of management.
- High-quality document and report preparation.
- Proven ability to diagnose problems with strategic thinking skills, as well as drive appropriate solutions with self-initiative.
- An ability to truly listen, be empathetic, take action, and follow through.
- A fun attitude and flexibility to push and try new things, programs, approaches.
- A curiosity to continuously learn about all aspects of HR.
- Experience working with ADP Workforce Now HRIS software.
- Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
