Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest.

We’re looking for a passionate innovator to take our eLearning and learning technology experience to the next level. In this highly dynamic role you’ll be equal parts instructional designer, Learning Management System “go to” for employees, and eLearning experience designer. Collaboration is your middle name; however, you’re still able to roll up your sleeves and be an independent self-starter when needed. It’s on us! You recognize the need to build multimodal learning opportunities for Affirmers in a remote first hybrid work environment, and are eager to create a “beyond best practice” next practice learning experience. No fine print here. If you're as excited as we are, please READ ON!

What You’ll Do

  • Create eLearning materials for a variety of audiences, across Learning & Development programs, including new hires, managers, and leaders.
  • Collaborate with members of the Learning & Development team to craft learning programming that includes multiple learning modalities, and asynchronous learning opportunities
  • Help vet, roll-out, and manage learning technology (including our Learning Management System) company-wide.  Recognizing people come first, you’ll analyze the current learning tech stack, and help guide the evolution in the months and year ahead.
  • Partner with cross-functional subject matter experts across Affirm in crafting new eLearning content and curriculum.
  • Play a key role in implementing and rolling out Affirm’s learning tech stack for any future acquisitions.
  • Define, measure, and communicate out eLearning/Learning Technology success metrics.
  • Scout and vet new learning technologies for the Learning & Development to explore and incorporate into current and new learning programs.

What We Look For

  • 5+ years of experience highlighting a combination of instructional design, eLearning creation, and learning technology administration.
  • You’ve designed and delivered eLearning materials from scratch, and have partnered with subject matter specialists to do the same.  You have near mastery level experience with the creation of learning content with Storyline, Articulate Studio, Captivate, Camtasia and/or other learning software tools.
  • You have worn multiple hats with an LMS/LXP--end user, author, administrator--and are comfortable with honing your skills sets here to the mastery level.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to work collaboratively with partners across the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, with an appetite for distilling sophisticated information to what matters most. Simpler is better.
  • A “how can we make this better?” mentality. You recognize that “perfect” is not an end state, and continually drive for program improvement.
