WHAT WE DO
We’re looking for a strong leader with broad knowledge in all areas of human resources to support employee programs and initiatives across the company. This role will interface with various departments, including Recruiting, Payroll, IT, Facilities, to ensure our employees have a seamless experience working at Postmates - from the day they accept our offer to the day they leave the company. This role will be based in our Nashville, Tennessee, office but will support all our offices worldwide.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage team of two People Operations Specialists, overseeing our onboarding and offboarding programs for all employees
- Oversee employment practices, including background checks, I-9 verifications, and record retention
- Own all facets of our HRIS, including data integrity, user security, employee & manager self service, reporting, and integrations with other systems
- Implement our internal team ticketing system that creates a great employee experience while also providing valuable insights
- Oversee our unemployment insurance reporting and worker’s compensation claims processes
- Oversee compliance and ensure we are compliant with all employment related laws (federal, state, and local)
- Manage compliance and government reporting
- Leverage and maximize our technology to support People related programs and processes
- Assist internal and external teams with ad hoc audit requests
OUR REQUIREMENTS
- At least 5 years of experience in People Operations, within a tech-based environment is a plus
- At least 2 years of people management experience
- Strong project management skills and ability to navigate multiple time-sensitive tasks
- Strong ability in problem solving and building solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A team player that works collaboratively across all levels of the organization
- The ability to use data to help drive informed decision making
- Bachelor’s degree required; other specialized training in employee relations is a plus
- A sense of humor
