We’re adding a Global Payroll Manager to our team to assist with the development of our payroll function. As one of our early finance team members, you’ll have the opportunity to develop yourself in the role and play a key part in building processes, procedures, and programs to support the finance, payroll, and accounting function. 

About the role

As a Global Payroll Manager, you’ll … 

• Implement a prompt and efficient global payroll cycle process, including but not limited to base pay, variable pay, commissions, stock compensation, payroll taxes, 401k, statutory, and supplemental benefits, etc for both the US, and any international locations we have.
• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for payroll, including recording journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and recording accruals for areas such as PTO, Payroll taxes, variable compensation, payroll benefits, and more.
• Develop, and manage key policies and procedures for global payroll, including payroll for employees, and payroll for international contractors.
• Collaborate with the People team to ensure accuracy on payments such as 401(k), commuter benefits, taxable perks, HRA, etc.
• Actively manage international 3rd party payroll processors and systems.
• Work with the sales compensation team to calculate and pay sales commissions and draws.
• Ensure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions, and terminations are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with regulations.
• Cultivate working relationships with key clients, third-party providers, and other teams at Webflow to resolve issues, and improve the overall efficiency of our processes.

About you 

You’ll thrive as a Global Payroll Manager if you:

• Have experience with or understanding of key payroll processes such as international payroll, contractors pay, multi-state taxation and equity vesting processes
• Have helped scale a company’s payroll globally
• Can communicate and cultivate a working relationship with internal and external stakeholders 
• Collaborate well as a team member and work autonomously as conflicts and challenges arise 
• Understand the accounting behind the payroll and are able to post activity to the ERP system.
• Have experience with Excel and are able to automate accounting workbooks using formulas.
• Have experience using various payroll systems (Gusto, Paylocity, ADP, etc ), and migrating between payroll systems.
