We’re looking for a detail-oriented and highly-motivated individual to join our team as a Payroll Specialist. This person will be responsible for processing payroll for our hourly and salaried employees for multiple entities across different states and will work with members of the Human Resources team. The candidate will assist employees and managers with payroll-related questions. The position will report directly to the Payroll Manager.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in payroll and knowledge of wage and hourly laws. In addition, the right candidate will have worked for a rapidly scaling company while maintaining accuracy of processing payroll. We are looking for an individual who will assist with the day to day payroll responsibilities.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Accurately process semi-monthly and bi-weekly payrolls in Paylocity for 600+ employees across different entities
• Calculate and process off-cycle payrolls as necessary
• Respond to payroll inbox and payroll-related questions within 24 business hours
• State registrations as entities continue to expand
• Work cross-functionally with HR operations
• Process garnishments, levies, child support, as needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2+ years’ experience in processing payroll
• Experience working in a high growth company/start-up
• Multi-state payroll experience
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills - ability to perform vlookup

• Knowledge and experience with Paylocity
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with system implementation (Payroll, HRIS, or timekeeping)
