What we are looking for:


  • Accurately and efficiently process timecards for our employees.
  • Assist with New Hire Orientation: Understand, and train hourly employees and Content Salary employees on how to use timecards, adding project codes, recording time off, etc.
  • Work directly with content team to ensure timecards are completed on a weekly basis.
  • Work directly with hourly employees to ensure timecards are completed bi-weekly.
  • Manage Project Codes in ADP Workforce Now, adding and deleting on demand. 
  • Provide customer support over the phone, slack or email answering questions and resolving problems presented
  • Prepare ad hoc, periodic employee and payroll timekeeping reports for review to Management.
  • Assist in payroll, timesheet, and employee profile audit activities.
  • Maintain and document all timekeeping payroll records.
  • Export biweekly property charge back reports to review changes and prepare necessary charge back adjustments to ensure accurate details are provided with reports distributed to managers.


Responsibilities of the role

  • Collect and audit timesheet data and payroll information at end of each pay period to ensure hours reported are complete and accountable.
  • Accurately review and process ad hoc pay adjustments and time sensitive final checks to pay all hours owed with applicable benefits and taxes applied within time allowed by company policy or applicable labor laws to the appropriate party or designated recipients, when requested.
  • Daily maintain files and logs used to track activity records (e.g., status change file for new hires and terms, project list for report distribution list and manual check log)
  • Daily maintenance of employee database of new hire, employment and pay rate changes, and termination.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll by incorporating all data from employee timesheets, bonus, or special pay requests such as referral pay and sign on bonus, employee benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, life, 401(K), fringe benefits, voluntary and Federal & State mandatory deductions. Process special payroll at the direction of Management.
  • Ensure payroll is processed with high level of accuracy and completion by required deadline.
  • Perform special projects.
  • Review and audit all payroll data prior to submission and immediately following the submission to ensure it is processed properly without discrepancies.
  • Complete and respond to the state/court notice for employee garnishments and withholding orders. Maintain a database of reconciliation per pay period, and ensure proper payment processing in Dayforce
  • Identify payroll related issues for management to review and insight to operations managers based on reporting. 
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and test system upgrades and configuration changes.
  • Provide system-related guidelines. Answer employee's payroll-related questions and resolve problems on a timely basis.
  • Develop and manage a secure filing system for all confidential information in written and/or electronic formats, including pay data, employee information, state filings and state registrations.
  • Assist in providing payroll information for company requests from Human Resources.
  • Works closely with Human Resources to manage employee database and audit employee profiles.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • 3+ years of payroll experience
  • Fundamental Payroll Certified or Certified Payroll Professional preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of an enterprise Payroll system (preferably Dayforce or ADP)
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, including excel skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in problem identification, analysis, recommendation of options and development of logical and workable solutions.
  • Demonstrated fluency with Microsoft Office Suites: Word, Excel, and GSuite are essential.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
