Tempo Automation is seeking a People Operations Generalist to help Tempo’s employees become the best they can be!

The People Operations Generalist is a key member of the fast-paced People team. This role is responsible for supporting Tempo’s  workforce across our headquarters and remote locations with a wide variety of essential People Operations functions. This position is vital to Tempo serving as the first point of contact for employee relations issues. This is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting, growing company.  

You Will:

  • Advise individuals and people managers on employee relations activity classified as low to moderate in complexity.
    • Examples are:  Coaching, Performance Management,  and investigations
  • Supports the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding and orientation to termination
  • Key partner in implementing programs aimed to improve the employee experience and facilitating change management throughout the organization.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures for internal processes related to topics above
  • Provides support and participates in other People related projects, duties, events, and tasks as requested
  • Drive planning and implementation of company-wide People initiatives
  • Help maintain the People Operations knowledge base and company intranet for various programs and policies, including onboarding, management support and seasonal initiatives
  • Support the Employee Engagement programs, reporting back to the People Operations team any feedback received

You Have: 

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 3-4 years of experience in Human Resources/People Operations specifically in employee relations required
  • Strong general knowledge of HR best practices including employee relations and compliance; professional certification (APHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.) is a plus.
  • Sound judgement and discretion; able to maintain strict confidentiality with highly sensitive data.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, proactive problem-solver with strong sense of follow-through.
  • Exceptional EQ and client service skills, able to maintain professional composure and approachability.
  • Excellent communication skills including oral, written, and interpersonal.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Google Suite (Gmail, Gcal, Google Sheets and Docs), Zoom 
  • Prior experience with HRIS / ATS / Job Boards a plus
