Mission
We’re looking for a People Operations Associate to help us support & scale our organization in all aspects of the employee experience, including HR operations, benefit administration, policy development, HR systems and compliance. We are seeking someone who has a passion for getting things done, takes ownership, has great attention to detail, and is committed to being a valuable resource to employees throughout our growing organization.
This role is a high-touch, employee-centric role that will provide an incredible opportunity for growth, experience and visibility to all areas of human resources.
Outcomes
- Own employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, leaves of absences and compliance
- Oversee completion of mandatory trainings (e.g. security and sexual harassment trainings)
- Administer employee benefit programs, including health benefits, open enrollment, 401(k), perks and wellness
- Maintain our internal intranet (“The Calm Insider”) to enable our employees on all things People policies and process
- Serve as the front-line advisor for employee inquiries (e.g. benefits questions, HRIS support)
- Ensure and maintain data integrity in our HR systems with a high level of accuracy
- Manage and improve key HR tools, processes and workflows to keep our organization running smoothly to scale
- Support on people programs involving employee experience, virtual events, engagement, learning & development, performance management, employee relations and recognition
- Identify opportunities for improvement and assist with communication, implementation and change management of various programs and initiatives
Competencies
- Minimum 1 year of experience in human resources
- Experience working with HR systems
- A go-getter who can own a project with varying levels of instruction and run with it
- Enthusiasm and willingness to be a team player
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and empathize with others and anticipate, respond, and pivot to the needs of the employees and business
- You are a problem solver, not a problem finder
- You have a demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with total discretion
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience working with project management tools (Asana)
- Knowledge in payroll and/or benefits administration
