Quizlet’s mission is to help students (and their teachers) practice and master whatever they are learning. Every month more than 50 million active learners from 130 countries practice and master more than 300 million study sets on every conceivable topic and subject. We are developing new learning experiences by modeling how students learn and drawing upon knowledge acquisition, retention, and pedagogy in cognitive science. Quizlet is growing, and we are looking for a well-rounded People Ops Manager to join our team. We are building a people ops infrastructure made up of programs, processes, and tools to support and enable people to do their best work. The People Ops Manager will collaborate with teams across the organization and partner closely with cross-functional team members to drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer benefits, well-being & perks programs, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance coverage; Flexible Spending Accounts, commuter benefits, COBRA, and leaves of absence.
  • Manage new hire on-boarding process across our San Francisco, Denver and UK offices, including pre-onboarding workflows and new hire orientation programs.
  • Own people systems and data integrity of employment and people records, including but not limited to HRIS, Directory/Org charts, ATS, and system upgrades.
  • Propose and drive process improvements across people and recruiting operations to ensure smart workflows.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Recruiting, Legal, Corporate Engineering, and Security teams to establish requirements and process for managing contingent workforce program, and may include contract review and compliance audits.
  • Maintain an understanding and working knowledge of people related policies (i.e., employee handbook, code of conduct, etc.), and assist in interpretation of such policies and standards to all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years experience in operations, project/program management in high tech and/or growth organizations.
  • Experience with benefits administration and management, including annual renewal and open enrollment.
  • Experience with people analytics, HRIS and/or ATS systems administration and implementation.
  • “People-focused” and highly collaborative with ability to work closely and successfully with cross-functional teams such as finance, legal, and technical teams.
  • Analytical, data-driven, and results-oriented; problem-solver at heart who can address complex issues across people and recruiting operations.
  • Proven track record of success in project and program management and operational excellence.
  • Strong sense of accountability and integrity and biased towards action.
