About the Role

Imagine you had the chance to shape the people practices and philosophies of thousands of companies across the globe. This is the focus of Lattice’s Advisory Services (LAS) team. Our mission is to bring the most relevant, data-backed, forward-thinking, expert guidance to our customers’ People Strategies.

At Lattice, we have a unique opportunity to influence and enable thousands of companies as they seek to invest in their people. Our customers face many challenges as they tackle their biggest objectives: building and maintaining culture, instituting meaningful performance management processes, training and enabling their people managers, and using data to make decisions about the future of their organizations.

As a People Strategy Principal and member of the Advisory Services team, you will work cross-functionally within Lattice to inform research, produce best practices, enable internally, and, most importantly, consult and evangelize externally.

  • Inform Research (20%): You have experience with and keep learning about cutting-edge people practices and philosophies and like to debate the merits of various approaches. You leverage this knowledge, along with close customer relationships, to inform Lattice’s own research efforts.
  • Produce Best Practices (20%): You leverage your experience, interests and skill set to identify best practices and develop our approach to certain domains within the People space
  • Enable Internally (20%): You help educate the entire Lattice go-to-market organization, making us all better advisors and consultants
  • Consult and Evangelize Externally (40%): You take a consultative approach and connect with customers. You excel at giving educated advice and get energy from storytelling. You leverage your experience and expertise to help elevate Lattice’s brand and our ability to offer sound advice in the market.

You will report to the head of Advisory Services and you will play an integral part in developing Lattice’s advisory strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with prospects and clients on their People Strategy challenges, partnering with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to both proactively and reactively address their clients’ needs. Be prepared for both to jump in on ad hoc meetings as well as to run well-developed plays (that you yourself have developed).
  • Bring and maintain specialization in a subset of Lattice’s strategic areas — ranging from employee engagement surveys to competency building to performance management optimization — pulling from past experience, engagements with current customers, and ongoing research and training.
  • Maintain and contribute to a centralized “source of truth” on your specialization, breaking down concepts and backing up points of view with data, and ensuring a mounting level of expertise across Lattice.
  • Work side-by-side with Lattice analytics team to develop powerful industry analyses and customer-level insights.
  • Assist with the Advisory Services Partner Network -- building a symbiotic ecosystem with our partners, defining and carrying out Lattice Certification, collaborating across teams internally to keep the network healthy.

Qualifications

  • You have a minimum of 8 years of experience leading or working on a People / HR team, or working directly with People / HR team leaders
  • You have direct experience with building People Strategy programs, including such elements as: goals / OKRs, engagement survey setup & analytics, career growth tracks & development, or performance management programs, effective management practices
  • You have experience in consulting directly with clients to provide analysis, advice, and support
  • You demonstrate interest and capacity for making an impact at a broad scale, be it across teams, companies or industries
  • You demonstrate the ability to work independently, but are compulsive about communicating proactively to keep your stakeholders and teammates informed
  • You possess outstanding communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • You have experience in a growing startup / technology environment
  • You are passionate about making our customers personally and professionally successful
  • You are an excellent teammate who is constantly seeking to uplevel the team
  • You show commitment to Lattice’s mission and values

Nice to have

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, preferably in the realm of Organizational Development, I/O Psychology or equivalent
  • Research experience, particularly in the field of employee engagement or performance management
  • Strong data acumen; comfortable with statistical analysis
