Cisco Meraki is looking for a highly motivated and capable Recruiting Lead to join our technical recruiting team. As an experienced talent advisor, you will craft the hiring strategy behind attracting, assessing and hiring top experienced technical talent for our Product Management team across multiple offices.
This role is both a programmatic lead for our Product Management recruiting initiatives and a full-cycle Recruiter role with a responsibility to maintain a pipeline of candidates. You can effectively partner with our hiring managers to understand hiring needs, craft critical initiatives and mentor teammates to find/close high quality technical talent with little direction. You will have the freedom to experiment with new ideas and drive towards building diverse and top-tier teams. The role would be ideal for an experienced Recruiter with a strong interest in getting more involved in leadership including but not limited to inclusion and diversity projects, building programmatic approaches to upskilling hiring managers, and increase external hiring by 25% in the next fiscal year. We would expect this role to be 50% programs/operations/special projects and 50% full-cycle recruiting.
What You Will Do:
- Develop and drive an engaging candidate experience across product management. Evaluate candidate feedback, identify trends and gaps, and implement solutions to increase candidate satisfaction.
- Partner with our hiring managers and leadership team to fully understand the business and drive projects to completion. Example projects may include:
- Build repeatable, scalable recruiting practices from scratch including structuring roles with hiring manager and team to optimize for efficiency and throughput.
- Evaluate recruitment and operations effectiveness by routinely meeting with supported teams and establishing/maintaining metrics and reporting tools. Use data to drive decisions and frequently report recruiting success and improvement opportunities to management.
- Vet various external organizations for partnerships to increase pipeline diversity and create innovative sourcing strategies.
- Serve as an advisor in crafting the assessment processes and utilize market data and expertise when leading new recruitment processes.
- Oversee the full life cycle of domestic and international recruiting efforts for experienced hires holding between 6-8 requisitions at a time. This includes posting positions, screening, setting interview strategies, interviewing, scheduling, conducting reference checks, preparing offer letters, managing immigration processing, initiating relocation, and onboarding.
- Partner with leadership to review diversity data reports, educate teams on current state quarterly, and lead projects to achieve goals.
- Serve as a knowledgeable, personable ambassador of the company at conferences, tech talks, happy hours, career fairs, and other public-facing venues. Build and maintain a strong network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, and employees.
- Mentor and guide other recruiting team members on key projects to enhance productivity. Build team morale and maintain compliance with applicable hiring practices.
Requirements Include:
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with 1+ years working on diversity initiatives such as sourcing, partnerships, or strategy.
- Ability to grow and manage a high quality pipeline of candidates.
- Exposure to building recruiting processes from scratch using industry best practices for product management roles in particular.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Experience working with management and key cross-functional partners internally (e.g. Legal, Finance, HR, Talent Ops, etc.).
- Articulate ideas clearly and succinctly and deploys influence when necessary. Strong consultative skills with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy.
- Experienced at prioritizing high exposure projects.
- Passion for improving access to opportunities for underrepresented groups.
