As the Senior Benefits Program Analyst, you will be responsible for partnering with vendors and internal teams to bring our benefits offerings to life for employees at Cruise. You will manage the day to day administration of our benefits programs, seeking opportunities for efficiency and excellence at every step. In addition, you’ll partner with the Head of Benefits to think critically about our benefits portfolio and determine the best mix of offerings for our population. You’ll focus on the employee experience and ways to ensure that employees know how to navigate their benefits in a thoughtful and personalized way. This is an exciting opportunity to build on our foundation to meet the evolving needs of Cruise.
This role reports into our Head of Benefits and is based in our San Francisco headquarters.
What you’ll be doing:
- Partners with benefit brokers, finance and HR Tech to administer employee benefits programs such as retirement plans; medical, dental, vision plans; life insurance plans and leave of absence programs.
- Develops and executes communication plan for program launches, program changes and open enrollment: including events, email campaigns and updates to the content for onboarding and the intranet.
- Serve as point of escalation of employee benefits inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable and courteous resolution.
- Works with HR Tech partners to implement the Workday benefits module and continually improve the system in response to benefit program changes and employee feedback (including building additional requirements, testing and launching changes).
- Owns content and delivery of benefits onboarding program.
- Partners with leaves vendor and Legal team to administer leaves of absence.
- Improves employee self-service by managing and enhancing our intranet content,
- Builds program feedback loops (ex: NPS score, focus groups, event surveys, annual employee surveys) to track improvements in employee experience and influence program design.
What you must have:
- 2-4 years of experience in benefits administration
- BA/BS in related field preferred
- Ability to write in a concise, clear and engaging manner
- Comfortable with public speaking and communicates in a confident, clear and approachable manner
- Strong change management and project management skills
- Experience working cross-functionally to manage vendors in the administration of benefits (RFP, contracts, payment processing)
- Experience with Workday module lifecycle (building requirements, testing, moving to production) a plus
- Experience with Zendesk (creating macros, dashboards) a plus
- Experience using Workday or other systems to manage benefits enrollment
- Demonstrates ownership mindset to improve on program design in response to business feedback or market changes, or to scale system administration as needed
- Ability to develop strong working relationships and collaborate with a cross-functional group of partners, both internal and external
- Working knowledge of Excel for auditing purposes
