Role: Senior Business Recruiter

Location:  Palo Alto, CA

Reports To: Manager, Business Recruiting

About You:

You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, agile, fun environment where you can execute and deliver as a thought partner to your hiring team and hiring managers. You have a strong track record recruiting for business roles in competitive markets, and are unafraid to innovate and push the boundaries of recruitment practices to bring great talent into Hippo. Your candidates are always top of mind and you are driven to provide a world class experience to each and every one of them. Watching the professional growth and success of candidates you have recruited gets you out of bed in the morning!

Responsibilities:

  • Own full recruitment process including sourcing, interview, feedback and offer process
  • Identify closing strategies for offers and proactively provide candidates with the right information to help make their decision as easy as possible
  • Collaborate with teams to deeply understand their hiring needs and proactively translate that into a positive candidate and interviewer experience at every stage
  • Track and understand relevant metrics for your activity and pipeline and actively share progress with the hiring team
  • Build processes and programs that will help the talent team scale its efforts for years to come
  • Build a diverse pipeline of candidates using creative sourcing channels
  • Proven track record of success in scaling teams at a startup
  • Represent the company with integrity and professionalism
  • Teach/Mentor other recruiting team members

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in an agency setting or high-growth tech environment
  • Experience working with non-tech teams (Finance, Legal, HR, Business Operations for example) and hiring for these roles in a high-growth environment
  • Self-driven and entrepreneurial. You have superior organizational skills, integrity and great follow through on tasks
  • Demonstrable ability to successfully prioritize and close searches against a timeline and meet recruiting and performance goals
  • Relentless drive to find and connect with the best talent
  • Ability to collaborate is a must, but you will be autonomous and expected to succeed without heavy direction
  • Excellent representative of the company - professional, articulate, detail-oriented and knowledgeable
  • Experience coaching hiring managers and helping them develop strategic recruiting plans
  • Proficient with an ATS (preferably Greenhouse)
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Insurance recruiting experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
