Who we are looking for:

  • Deeply motivated by being a strategic partner to the business. You will help define hiring needs by looking at projected growth, team structure and current talent trends.
  • Excited by using data and tools to assess the current recruiting process and identify efficiencies as well as areas for improvement that will increase effectiveness.
  • Efforts include: defining talent needs, sourcing and prescreening candidates, partnering with hiring managers, and insuring a smooth and fluid process.
  • Partnering with key cross functional departments and identifying closing strategies for offers.
  • You proactively provide candidates with the right information to help make their decision as easy as possible.
  • Has a problem solving mindset and you like to collaborate and brainstorm with your team to find solutions. 
  • Ability to understand the business’ needs and create strategies to over achieve on all hiring goals. 
  • Someone who is passionate about hiring a diverse workforce and making sure we support all types of people at Segment. 
  • Want to change the talent industry at large and figure out the best ways of recruiting in a highly competitive environment. 

Requirements:

  • Ideally 3+ years of in-house recruiting experience, but we care less about "years of experience" and more about the impact and results of your work. We believe someone who has 3 years of recruiting experience can be stronger than someone with more years’ of experience
  • Strong driver of the hiring manager/recruiter relationship and are able to build a strong and trustworthy partnership.
  • Understand each candidates drivers and articulate value propositions.
  • Proven track record for identifying and engaging qualified candidates through all channels (sourcing, referrals, inbound). 
  • Juggle various roles at once and you use creative strategies to build a consistent, humming pipeline. 
  • Nail down difficult profiles and you understand the profiles for leading competitors. 
  • Thrive and ruthlessly prioritize in a constantly changing environment.
  • Motivated by challenging targets and you enjoy setting new records.
  • Enjoy leveraging data and making data informed decisions. 
  • Excellent communicator and able to build productive and positive relationships with people of all levels. You write in a professional yet engaging manner. 
  • Creative and resourceful in problem-solving to ensure that you always get the job done.
