About the Team

DoorDash is growing fast and we’re looking for an Associate HR Business Partner to join our People team! At DoorDash, people are our most important asset. The HR Business Partner team works closely with leaders across our business to align people and strategy. Our HRBPs assess, coach, and influence the business as we scale and evolve to enable our teams to accomplish amazing things.

About the Role

The Associate HRBP is primarily responsible for the delivery of day to day HR activities to employees, Supervisors, and Managers, ensuring that the company upholds best practices, remains legislatively compliant, and can work with others to maintain a cohesive, productive, and positive work environment and strong team culture.

We need a versatile, quick thinking team member to help support our Engineering, Product, and Design teams.  More specifically, the Associate HRBP will be the first-line point-of-contact to support the delivery of HR solutions and will partner closely with HRBP’s and all lines of businesses to deliver HR services.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Empower people managers to build amazing teams.
  • Assess employee development needs & employee relations concerns and recommend solutions.
  • Collaborate with our people managers to continue to develop our workforce.
  • Enforce & develop our HR policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Help enhance our employee experience for the Engineering, Product, and Design teams.
  • Coach people managers in areas such as performance management, leave management, reward/recognition, etc.

We’re excited about you because…

  • You have 5 - 7 years of experience in Human Resources, in a Generalist, HRBP, or related role.
  • You have past experience coaching people managers, supporting employees, and navigating employee relations concerns.
  • You enjoy working with data and have a strong working knowledge of Google Sheets/Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
  • You have an owner mentality and a bias towards action.
  • You have an exceptional ability to prioritize and manage time effectively – you naturally focus on the right things and can seamlessly move between projects & tasks, without losing sight of what's important to do.
  • You’re naturally curious and have a self-starter personality – you always look for ways to innovate and improve, and don't need to wait for people to tell you what to work on.
  • You’re an outstanding communicator with relationship-building skills – your friends would call you authentic, energetic, persuasive, and self-aware. You know when to listen, and when to speak up.
  • You have experience working in a fast-paced, high-performance culture where the business is constantly evolving
  • You have excellent judgment and the ability to make sound decisions independently.
