Overview


You’ll be joining our recruiting team that is laser-focused on providing an exceptional candidate experience and using data to drive its processes and decision-making. You’ll impress us with the high-quality of diverse talent that you find, and continue to spread brand awareness through channels that will drive candidate interest in Tonal. You will bring ideas and best practices, influence, and create solutions that drive change and have measurable results across the entire company. You’ll develop diverse pipelines of candidates through sourcing and partnerships with universities and diversity-focused organizations. We always strive to continue to refine and reimagine our core Recruiting practices, so we’re excited to hear your ideas. This position will be based in San Francisco and will report to the Talent Acquisition Manager.


What You Will Do


- Strategize multiple methods of building talent pipelines and execute on tactical research, referral generation, events, and sourcing campaigns

- Build strong relationships across teams and serve as a partner before, during, and after the recruiting process

- Contribute to defining of recruiting process and training our hiring teams on how to best adapt to it

- You will bring us expertise in technical recruiting in Hardware and Manufacturing while gaining exposure to all functions within the Tonal organization, having the ability to manage requisitions that could also include Software or non-technical recruiting with departments like Marketing, Sales, Finance, Design, or Customer Care

- Effectively communicate the Tonal mission, culture, and roadmap to a broad range of candidates, prospects, and industry professionals

- Approach your sourcing with an outlook for candidates that will be a “Culture Add” as opposed to a “Culture Fit”

- Support our ongoing efforts in building a diversity sourcing/recruiting program

- Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process

- Close: effectively, creatively, competitively, and confidently

- Assist in miscellaneous recruiting projects and teach us about new tools and resources available 

- Be our brand ambassador by providing a best-in-practice interviewing experience to all candidates


Who You Are


- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience

- Experience in technical recruiting, specifically within a hardware company that has given you broad exposure to mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineering and preferably additional experience with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Logistics

- Able to work cross-functionally and transition seamlessly whether recruiting for technical or non-technical roles across any department

- You understand how data can improve process and performance; you have an advanced skill-level in Excel and/or Google Sheets and are excited to create dashboards and analytics to drive our talent acquisition function forward

- A full-cycle recruiter; a creative sourcer, confident closer, and always finding new ways to drive efficiencies everywhere in between

- Proven record of high-volume hiring across multiple teams and levels

- Creative written and verbal communication skills with the tenacity to pitch anyone

- Strong level of comfort with Applicant Tracking Systems such as Lever

- Place a high value in clean record-keeping and data within an ATS environment; you not only use the ATS as a tracking tool but as a way to drive efficiencies in managing your recruiting process

- You view the relationship of Recruiting as a Business Partnership 

- Experienced in creative sourcing methods using different types of technology and are excited about using data-driven strategies

- Goal-oriented with a successful track record of closing candidates from entry-level up to leadership roles
