Tech Sourcer (Contract)

OVERVIEW
The Instacart Engineering team has aggressive plans to grow in 2021 and beyond. Our sourcing team utilizes both practical and creative ways to surface leading talent, and believes in investing a lot of time in activating passive candidates through a highly engaged approach.
We’re looking for a seasoned Technical Sourcer to help grow our world-class engineering team. As a Technical Sourcer, you will leverage your ability to find untapped talent through various and sometimes underutilized sourcing strategies to help Instacart develop a rich and diverse candidate pipeline. This role will provide opportunities for ownership, autonomy, and career development.
This role is a 1-year contract position with an opportunity for additional extensions or full-time conversion.

ABOUT THE ROLE
- Develop an understanding of Instacart’s products, technology, market position, and employer value proposition to successfully identify and craft an approach to engage passive talent.
- Conduct research to understand the competitive landscape and proactively present findings to hiring leaders and Recruiters to finesse our recruiting strategy.
- Partner with Hiring Leaders and Recruiters to develop sourcing strategy and execute on building talent pipelines through tactical research, talent mapping and sourcing campaigns.
- Source using a wide variety of tools: Gem, LinkedIn, Boolean searches, social media, internet job boards, tech associations + groups, university alumni resources and other creative search techniques.
- Engage and partner with Hiring Managers to be active leaders in building their candidate pipeline.
- Partner with Hiring Leaders and Recruiters to develop sourcing strategy and execute on building talent pipelines through tactical research, talent mapping and sourcing campaigns.
- Regularly track, analyze, and share pipeline and performance data with internal stakeholders.
- Recommend creative and results-oriented ideas to improve candidate pipelines and partner with the sourcing team on developing best practices.
- Represent Instacart with integrity and professionalism.
ABOUT YOU
- 4+ years experience in Recruiting with 1+ year of data-powered sourcing experience for a consumer-facing tech startup with a high bar for hiring engineering talent.
- Deep Technical industry knowledge and comprehension of relevant technical skills, relevant companies, engineering communities and university sources
- Experience building and maintaining long-term pipelines for hard-to-fill Engineering roles.
- Proven track record of successfully utilizing mulitple sourcing strategies to identify and engage expectational candidates in high-growth environments.
- Experience sourcing for various technology stacks and engineering roles
- Experience implementing creative sourcing methods through multiple channels
- Experience advising Recruiters and Hiring Managers on activity and sourcing strategy, and utilizing data to drive decisions.
- Go-getter attitude with the ability to build strong working relationships with candidates, hiring leaders, and your team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, sense of team and desire to learn
