Business Analyst (Salesforce) Internship - Summer San Francisco
Meraki's Business Systems team is a strategic partner to the business; they do this by encouraging an understanding of business processes and by acting as a strategic consultant on business systems needs. The team is involved in technical projects from start to finish -- gathering and documenting requirements, crafting and detailing technical solutions, and fully implementing these solutions.
As a Business Systems Analyst Intern, you are comfortable working with relational databases. You seek day-to-day problems using technology and are simply passionate about technology. You are familiar with Salesforce from both an administrative point of view as well as from the user’s perspective.
This is a hands-on position requiring proven technical skills and communication abilities.
What you'll do
Through this role, you will leverage the use of Meraki’s Salesforce instance every day. You will be empowered to make connections across the organization to better understand our users’ needs. You will have a team of Business Systems Analysts to guide you through requirements gathering, solution design, build, and Salesforce deployments involving Github.
Through this, you’ll become familiar with the various metadata components available in Salesforce. You’ll learn standard methodologies for Salesforce configuration and for deploying changes across multiple Salesforce environments, and you will gain expertise in Git and JIRA while working in an Agile Scrum environment.

- Custom Object / Field Cleanup
- Consolidate existing Process Builders and Page Layouts
- Flag Custom Profiles with no users assigned and / or Custom Profiles assigned to only inactive users
- Salesforce Classic to Lightning transition tasks
Who you are
You are an empathetic, self-starter who loves technology - especially solving problems with technology. You recognize the potential that Salesforce holds in an organization and are excited to build automation on the platform. Manual, multi-step processes pain you, so you use technology to help alleviate this, enabling others to work more effectively.
Qualifications
- Must be a Sophomore or Junior working towards a B.S in Computer Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, MIS, Business Analytics, or a related discipline from an accredited university - Not accepting Masters students
- A passion to assist and problem-solve with our customers
- Outstanding account management, follow-through, and problem-solving skills
- Resourcefulness and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States, now or any time in the future
