This is for a Summer 2022 Internship

Affirm is looking for a creative, thoughtful, and hardworking Communications and Social Media Intern to support project execution and development of team materials, including cross-channel campaigns to drive business results. You will work on a variety of Communications and Social Media campaigns centered around Affirm’s goals and objectives.

You will work with our Communications, Social Media, Product Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Client Success, Sales, Legal and Compliance teams to strategize, plan, and deliver impactful campaigns. You’ll support both the Communications and Social Media teams, and will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and activities with specific areas of ownership. You should feel comfortable navigating contexts, with an interest in both how Affirm empowers consumers and helps merchants drive growth. You should be equipped to build strong relationships with cross-functional team members, as well as work with external partners as needed.

What you'll do

  • Support the development and execution of a wide range of cross-channel campaigns, focused on the press and Affirm’s social media channels. 
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive results and business impact.
  • Assist in both developing and maintaining foundational resources such as the Communication Team’s master messaging and media materials. 
  • Draft messaging and materials supporting key communications activities like press interviews, merchant and partner announcements, speaking opportunities and more. 
  • Help develop Affirm’s speaking and awards strategy.  
  • Develop content and campaigns for Affirm’s Tik Tok account (including editing ability), Pinterest account, and other platforms as needed.
  • Assist in sourcing and outreach of Affirm fans, brand advocates and influencers across TikTok, Instagram, Youtube  and other social media and marketing platforms.
  • Manage influencer shipping tracker, social media monthly platform results and influencer campaign results.
  • Coordinate sending gifts and merchandise to all Affirm’s influencers.

What we look for

  • A passion for the news and social media, with an understanding of the conversation happening online and a familiarity with all major social media platforms. 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to be succinct.
  • Strong organizational skills and an understanding of how to make complex things simple.
  • Deep experience establishing relationships with others and managing projects in groups.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively cross-functionally.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to influence peers as well as effectively demonstrate and use resources and relationships to drive optimal results.
  • Motivated self-starter always looking to share acquired knowledge.
  • Experience in communications, social media, and/or marketing a plus.
  • Background analyzing data to gather insights and key takeaways. 

Location - Remote U.S.
