Quizlet’s mission is to help students (and their teachers) practice and master whatever they are learning. Every month more than 50 million active learners from 130 countries practice and master more than 300 million study sets on every conceivable topic and subject. We are developing new learning experiences by modeling how students learn and drawing upon knowledge acquisition, retention, and pedagogy in cognitive science. We are always seeking to help students master any subject by optimizing study efficiency and engagement.

Quizlet offers an exciting 2020 Summer Internship Program beginning June - September. Our program is a 10-week paid internship that focuses on enabling students to advance their professional preparation through work experience, professional development, and mentorship. We have a fun summer planned for you with several events and workshops. You will work on real projects, features, and updates that will contribute to Quizlet and impact our 50 million+ users. 

We're looking for:

The marketing team is looking for someone to support Community engagement efforts with Teachers and Students alike. We are a passionate team of Product Marketing Managers, Community and Content Managers, SEO Managers, and Communication experts. Specifically, we want someone who is passionate about education, feels at ease speaking with people, has an interest in social media, and wouldn’t shy away from public speaking. 

Quizlet is located in San Francisco, CA and Denver CO. and our London team is our first outside the United States.

In this internship, you’ll:

  • Grow Quizlet’s social media following across platforms and audiences (Teachers + students)
  • Identify and build relationships with Teachers (both domestically and internationally)
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and co-hosting the 2020 Quizlet Unconference
  • Create content for online Teacher Community that engages teachers and can share the student perspective on education
  • Create and curate content for Quizlet’s Blog

At a minimum, We’d like you to have:

  • Strong writing and verbal skills
  • Organizational skills with an eye for detailUnderstanding of social media and online communities
  • Interest in event planning and organization and the ability to execute on goals within a short timeline
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to hold a conversation, conduct an interview, and interact with our users in professional settings

It’s Preferred if you have:

  • An interest in the field of Education
  • Education experience (volunteering, extra-curricular, etc.)

Education:

  • Applicants should be Senior level with a major of anything in the humanities
