Job Description

Wish is one of the top e-commerce marketplaces in the world. But what does it mean to work at Wish? As a Design Program Manager Intern, you will help amplify the voice of the Wish design team by enabling and empowering people to perform at their best. You will contribute to initiatives across the Design Operations space, like team newsletters, design thinking workshops, knowledge management, and our creative process.

As an intern at Wish, you’ll be an active participant on real-time initiatives that move our business forward. We are seeking an intern for the Fall of 2021 from September - December at 40 hours/week.

What you'll be doing:

  • Partner with the Design Operations Lead to execute Design Operations initiatives. 

  • Evaluate team’s current ways of working and identify opportunities for evolving practices.

  • Coordinate team bonding events and design ceremonies, like critiques, showcases, workshops, etc.

  • Implement communication strategies to ensure proper flow of information between design teams and partner orgs.

  • Gather updates and assets for design newsletters and communicate with appropriate parties.

  • Support a design team through the lifecycle of an initiative, applying basic project management principles.

  • Organize design knowledge and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing a project from start to finish.

  • Desire to learn and apply program management skills specific to product design.

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and rapid company growth.

  • Solid organizational skills and follow through with tasks.

  • Excellent communication and listening skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working closely with designers or design teams.

  • Previous internship or role in creative agency or design org.

  • Proficiency in design and collaboration tools like Figma, Sketch, Mural, Miro, etc.
