About the Role:

Interns on Planet’s Professional Services team will build experience working with Professional Services engineers supporting Professional Services projects and customers. Your efforts will be highly visible in helping guide projects and project teams to successful outcomes.

Impact You’ll Own:

  • Apply your academic experience in remote sensing or GIS to help the Professional Services team be successful
  • Conduct basic research in support of Professional Services projects
  • Use GIS software and/or Planet’s APIs to conduct data analysis and data visualization
  • Use Planet software to learn about applied machine learning; train new models and create new data services
  • Work closely with Professional Services engineers to contribute to Professional Services engagements

What You Bring:

  • Currently seeking a degree in geography, computer science, or a related field
  • Interest in growing your skills in Earth observation, analyzing imagery data, interacting with APIs and building customer solutions
  • Familiarity with QGIS, Esri software, GDAL or other common geospatial software
