Principal Innovation Lead, Internal Innovation
Atlassian is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. All new and existing Atlassians will continue to work from home until it’s safe to return to our offices. When our offices re-open, we will provide the choice to work from home or return to work in an office unless a job requirement makes it necessary for a particular role to be performed at an Atlassian office.
Atlassian announced in August 2020 - TEAM Anywhere - which paints a picture of an Atlassian we’d like to build together. It reimagines work which has the potential to solve for today’s problems as well as tomorrow’s opportunities. As a Principal Innovation Lead you will work with engineering teams, designers, product managers and cross-functional teams inside Atlassian to lead our internal innovation programs.
Prior innovation experience, ideally in the tech space, required.
In this role, you'll get to:
- Create and build product roadmap and execution for internal innovation potentially including a re-imagined ShipIt, our signature hack-a-thon, working with cross-functional teams.
- Drive execution in collaboration with R&D, events and other teams: making trade-offs, anticipating staffing needs, risks, and ensuring frequent and clear communication internally and with customers.
- Bring a new internal Atlassian product to market which is integrated into our broader approach toward internal innovation.
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
- Deep experience with tech innovation, culture evolution and organizational development.
- Passion for building and scaling programs/products at high-growth companies with a distributed work style.
- Ability to play in the overlapping Venn spaces of future of work, human-centered design, strategic foresight and change at scale.
- Experience in and a desire to dig into the existing research, experiments and work being done internally, as well as the industry at large, around fostering internal innovation sparks and movements.
- Experience crafting and delivering stellar products. Deep knowledge of one of the three R&D crafts - engineering, design or product is a plus.
- Ability to lead complex internal and external partners and find creative solutions to high visibility questions.
- Outstanding track record with R&D and cross functional partners: people love to work with you!
