At Sense, we are reinventing the way companies build long-term relationships with the workforce that powers the rising gig economy. We build products that empower businesses to improve communication and job satisfaction with the contingent workforce. Our culture is based on transparency, inclusion, autonomy and feedback. At Sense, you’ll be supported by a team of creative, talented people who take on big challenges and seek out meaningful work. We think carefully about how the contingent workforce and the industries driving it are evolving, and we have a responsibility to consider the social impact of the products we build.

Sense Messaging is a 2-way texting platform that enables users to send, manage and record SMS back to their system of record. Our core thesis is that relationships are continuous. While our Engage product encompasses powerful SMS and email workflow automation tools, our Messaging product helps recruiters build a cohesive narrative with their candidates that transitions seamlessly between powerful custom automation and personal touchpoints. The challenge is to do this in a way that doesn’t erode the quality of the candidate experience.

The Messaging team at Sense is responsible for high-touch, high-engagement products maintained across several platforms: mobile-responsive web, iOS, Android, and chrome extension. As a Product Manager Intern on this team, you will learn how customer feedback drives us to innovate our highest-usage, highest-visibility product and gain exposure to all stages of the product life cycle across mobile and web. You will develop the toolset to reliably and rapidly ramp as a subject matter expert in new domains so that you can deliver value as a product manager in whatever scenarios you face, regardless of specific background and prior work experience. Messaging at Sense is the ideal place to learn the fundamentals of product management, where you’ll get exposure to a variety of platforms while shipping features to tens of thousands of highly-engaged users. We are dedicated to providing a rigorous syllabus, nurturing environment and the hands-on experience you need to land a competitive product management role by the end of your internship.
