About the Role
We are looking for Product Management Interns to join our Load Logistics and our Carrier Experience team this summer (2022) for 12 weeks in San Francisco or Chicago!
The ideal PM Intern will innovate and drive business growth across Uber's properties. Pick and Drop off experiences impact both carriers as well as shippers. As an intern on the team, you will drive the discovery of what shippers need to know to optimize operations around their facilities, how can Uber empower shippers with these insights as well create a product experience around these insights with the support and partnership of a mentor on the team!
What You'll Do

• Load Logistics - Drive efficiency and service around the drop off & pick up experiences
• Build near real time insights on facilities for shippers to help them improve the efficiency of warehouses - which in turn drives "magical pick up and drop off experiences"
• Work closely with design, operations, engineering, and data science partners to design, build & deploy the product experiences, learn from the results, and iterate quickly
• Engage with Uber Freight leadership through regular updates

• Carrier Experience - As an PM intern on this team, you will be responsible for helping build a better onboarding experience for new carriers, focused on setting carriers up for success with Uber Freight, ASAP!
• You'll have a lot of room to flex your creative muscles and really build a vision for what it means to sign up for Uber Freight.
• Over the course of the summer, you will be working alongside our Design and User Research teams to learn about what expectations new carriers have when they sign up for Uber Freight, our Operations team to understand the ins and outs of onboarding new carriers, and our Engineering team to understand what's feasible to build as an MVP.
• Ideating, proposing and shipping an improved onboarding experience for our drivers, to help us acquire and retain more qualified leads to reach our goals.

Basic Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, statistics or MBA with at least one semester/quarter left after completion of internship
• Strong understanding of the product/software development.
• Availability to embark on an exciting 12 week internship focusing on a real-time, impactful business challenge to begin May/June 2022
• Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
• Highly energetic with a desire to learn and grow
• Proficient in SQL & strong data foundations
• Strong organizational and project management abilities
• A true passion for our mission, our products, and the company's hybrid technology/operations nature

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong product thinking
• Experimental mentality and ability to use metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes
• Prior experience launching and rolling out new products leveraging agile methods and best practices
• Transportation/Freight/Supply chain knowledge is a plus!

About the Team
The Load Logistics team is responsible for the transparent, frictionless and reliable movement of loads through the UF network. As we scale the movement of loads through the UF network, driving the efficiency and service of these loads is essential to grow the business and expand into new lines of business. Load logistics team builds the platforms and experiences for our shipper, carriers & operators as the load lifecycle progresses.
