About the Team and Role
We are looking for a hardworking, high-achieving individual to join Crunchyroll's International Team as the SDirector of International Business Operations. Today, Crunchyroll operates with a number of regional teams across the globe, each with its own initiatives and projects ranging from marketing partnerships, event activations, customer acquisition campaigns, screenings, television blocks, and new business line experiments. Crunchyroll's growth is fueled by both domestic and ever-expanding international efforts.
Our team works with various internal business teams, external partners, and third parties to strategically assess initiatives focused around user education, subscriber growth, and revenue generation. We collaborate across regional leads, Japanese content partners, and senior leadership on a regular basis. You will have opportunities to prioritize, strategize, budget, and plan towards global business initiatives to be executed by regional teams. This position will report to the GM of International at Crunchyroll.

Our headquarters is located in downtown San Francisco, where our group of cross-functional experts assemble to create experiences for our passionate communities.
Crunchyroll COVID-19 Hiring Status

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate business proposals from global partners to understand overall cost/benefit and strategic impact, including financial impact
- Support international strategy, planning efforts, and own go-to-market strategies through execution for select regions
- Drive the launch of key initiatives such as distribution partnerships, media launches, major events, as well as regional strategic partnerships
- Build business cases and projections for new initiatives by market to ultimately drive them through to execution and measure return on investment
- Develop and advise on detailed execution plans for pan-regional efforts in Latin America, Oceania and select European markets
- Guide regional heads and team leads on campaigns' timing, scope, and performance
- Supplement Crunchyroll's business capabilities with key local market insights where beneficial to driving and measuring growth in the respective market
Requirements:
- 8+ years of work experience in the tech / media space, working in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of the digital media landscape with experience prospecting, nurturing, and closing multifaceted deals or partnerships
- Strengths across financial modeling, pitch decks, as well as business and strategy plan development
- Prior success in a distributed team environment, especially with global peers and partners
- Experience driving external partners, project management, and vendors
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and relationship building skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Willing to travel internationally once a quarter (once travel is deemed safe and appropriate)
- Knowledge of anime industry is a strong plus
