The Role
We are looking for a UX Research intern to work with us this summer. We are seeking someone who is innately curious about learning and is creative and thoughtful when collaborating with our internal teams. You will support our Product Design and Research team, and work on user research projects that contribute to an empathetic, engaging Lark user and partner experience. 

 

What You’ll Do and learn

  • Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to conduct user research to gain a deeper understanding of Lark’s users and partners 
  • Generate actionable insights to improve the user and partner experience 
  • Develop user research artifacts such as personas, journey maps, stakeholder maps to communicate the results of your user research 
  • Share evidence-based recommendations in clear, engaging manner to diverse stakeholders
  • 1:1 mentorship from experienced UX researcher 
  • Learn how cross functional teams work together to deliver a user-centered product, in a fast-growing tech startup
  • Gain insight into the opportunities and challenges in the healthcare industry 
  • End-to-end UX research project/case study for your portfolio 

What You’ll Need

  • Be currently enrolled as an undergrad junior or senior with a degree in Anthropology, Human Computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Design, UX, or related discipline.  Will consider Master's student with graduation date of 2023. 
  • Interest in understanding the attitudes, behaviors, and motivations of individuals with chronic health conditions
  • Understanding of qualitative and/or quantitative user research methods such as interviews, usability studies, competitive analyses, surveys, A/B testing                                
  • Experience creating and communicating user research artifacts such as personas, journey maps
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders such as product managers, designers and data scientists

Working at Lark
Lark offers the option to work remotely in the United States.  The position begins on or about May 15th and ends August 31st. You are expected to work 40 hours a week and will be paid based on your education level.  This position will be remote, our headquarters is in Mountain View, CA
